Presented by the Clackamas Community Alliance (CCA), this training will explore current stimulant trends, local impacts, and practical strategies across prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery. Participants will learn more about the growing role stimulants are playing in overdose deaths and broader community health impacts, as well as effective approaches to better support people affected by stimulant use.

DESCRIPTION

This training explores current trends, drivers of stimulant use, and strategies across the prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery continuum. Participants will gain an increased understanding of the growing role stimulants play in overdose deaths and broader community health impacts by learning more about local data, emerging concerns, and effective approaches.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Describe current stimulant-related trends and impacts, including Clackamas County-specific concerns and local response efforts.

  2. Identify key risks and harms associated with stimulant use, including overdose, overamping, stigma, and barriers to care.

  3. Apply practical strategies across prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery to better support people affected by stimulant use.
